We are in the process of renewing and updating Oakland City Stables as a sustainable equestrian facility and providing a wonderful place for our community to enjoy for years to come.

A key feature of the property is the historic hacienda.   The hacienda was built in 1925 and was used as the residence of the owners up until the 1970’s. The property has been used as a horse staging area dating back to the Peralta family in the 1700’s.

City Stables is managed by Diamond Equine Services, the concessionaire under contract with the City of Oakland.  Melanie Diamond oversees the property and manages and develops the equestrian and community outreach programs.
